I've been of the belief for some time that access to the internet should be a fundamental human right. Do you think that's radical? Think of all the times you were lied to by your government, authority figures, your peers, the church. Access to the internet combats inequality and promotes human rights. Access to the internet creates a kind of transparency that hasn't existed historically. Censorship is the root of all evil. Glad to see the UN declare internet access a fundamental human right.
Also, I'm not a fan of systematic action to unilaterally take down a government entity.....but, to a degree, we're all pawns to governments shady actions. We don't demand transparency like we should. For the most part, Wikileaks and Anonymous are fighting the good fight.
