Macklemore & Ryan Lewis - And We Danced (Official Video)

From the 20+ blog posts, to my post-concert interview with Macklemore, there's no hiding my admiration for Seattle's dopest emcee. One week after posting 5 Songs TheJourney Is Dying To See Made Into Official Music Videos, Macklemore comes through in the clutch, and just in time for Halloween, with the official visuals off And We Danced.

Childish Gambino - Bonfire (Official Video)

Childish Gambino (aka Donald Glover) unleashes the official visuals for Bonfire, the first single off Gambino's highly anticipated album Camp, out November 15. There's a reason Childish is featured on TheJourney's 2012 XXL Freshman Predictions List. Make sure you check out all our prior posts on Childish Gambino here.

Matt Easton - Live Life (Official Video)

TheJourney posted Matt Easton's Live Life a few months back. And now, just in time for your Halloween festivities, Matt Easton drops off the official visuals for Live Life, a theme-song of sorts for folks that drink too much on Wednesdays only to rinse & repeat on Thursdays.

League - Your World

Splitting time between LA and London, the members of League are a group of former journalism and architecture students who decided to pursue their passion in music instead of the more traditional 9-5 job. Your World is one of three tracks found on League's How Do I Know EP.

League - Your World

Regg - If I Fall Down + Smoke Song

Regg, outta Norman, Oklahoma, combines good ol' rock 'n' roll with elements of hip-hop to create tantalizingly-dope music. With tracks like If I Fall Down and Smoking Song, Regg sounds like they've been at it for years. Here's the kicker though; the entire band is still in high-school.  Too dope. If you're diggin Regg's sound as much as I am, make sure to Facebook the shit outta them.

Regg - If I Fall Down

Regg - Smoking Song

e-dubble – Fight For Days

e-dubble, no stranger to fresh samples, comes through with Fight For Days, a timely rendition of Phantogram's Don't Move. Seems like everything e.dubble touches turns to gold.  Make sure you check out all our previous posts on e-dubble here. On a gamer-related side note, if you're a COD Zombie killer

Oakland Police attack unconscious Marine Vet (Video)

You don't have to be an #Occupy supporter to acknowledge the absurd level of police violence being exerted on otherwise peaceful protesters across America. So much for the right to peacefully assemble. Scott Olson, 24, the unconscious Marine Vet laying on the ground that you're witnessing is still in critical condition.

Hoodie Allen - James Franco (Official Video)

Hoodie Allen went viral with his latest set of visuals for James Franco, off his recently released and highly-contagious album Leap Year. My drive from Pacific Beach to law school is roughly 15 minutes. When Leap Year was released a few months back, I remember a couple morning commutes in which James Franco was the only track I played. Like Saul Silver on Pineapple Express, James Franco is just too damn likable. The former Google employee turned rapper extraordinaire is one of the featured artists on TheJourney's 2012 XXL Freshmen Predictions List. Dude's entire album is worthy of an official video. Definitely one of my favorite projects of 2011, can't wait to see what 2012 has in store for Hoodie Allen.

G-Eazy - The Coolest Job

G-Eazy, rapper-producer extrordinaire unleashes his latest track, The Coolest Job, sampling Mary Poppins' ever-so-fresh Chim Chim Cheree. A few nonths back, TheJourney was fortunate enough to world premiere G-Eazy's track Run, which is featured on his latest album The Endless Summer. Evident by his continual rise to notoriety in 2011, G-Eazy is one of talented candidates on TheJourney's 2012 XXL Freshman Predictions List
How many of you rap fucks are sampling Mary Poppins and rapping in a 6/8 time signature? Take risks. Go outside of your comfort zone every now n then. It’s the only way to improve.
G-Eazy - The Coolest Job

Mac Miller - Party On 5th Ave (Official Video)

Mac drops off Party On 5th Ave's official visuals. TheJourney is one of the first blogs on the planet to premiere this video. Enjoy. Blue Slide Park's coming soon..

The Bad Tenants - The Special

Ah shit! Here's The Special, the second leak off The Bad Tenants upcoming album Our Neighborhood, which drops this Friday exclusively here on TheJourney. TheJourney's stoked to be the official blog to release Our Neighborhood. The first release off Our Neighborhood was When I'm Back, which came out a few weeks back. I can't wait to hear this project in it's entirety tomorrow.

PropaneLV - Rearview Feat. Derek Cate (Prod. Chi Duly) [Official Video]

PropaneLV, creator of one of the 5 songs TheJourney is dying to see made into official music videos, is back with his latest visual offering, Rearview. Derek Cate lends his vocal support on Chi Duly's acoustically inclined creation. Before making the trek down here to San Diego for law school, I spent my entire life in Oregon. Probably won't ever move back, but will always call it home. Over the last few months, it's been pretty cool to see PropaneLV and Chi Duly, fellow Oregon natives, gaining notoriety on Hypem.com and the various blog outlets. I have a feeling that they're going to do some serious damage in 2012. Check out PropaneLV and Chi Duly's previous posts on TheJourney.

J. Cole - Lost Ones (Official Video)

Lost Ones, arguably the deepest track off Cole World, gets some much much much deserved visuals. This chorus gets me everytime. Deep shit. Here's every J. Cole post on TheJourney.

DOSVEC – Beast Break (B.o.B. vs Zeds Dead)

DOSCVEC's latest mashup mixs B.o.B. vocals over one of the doper beats of 2011, Coffee Break by Zeds Dead. Check out Jane Doe's Big mashup of Sean & Zeds Dead on Bullshittin On My Coffee Break.  Grab the original version below too.

DOSVEC – Beast Break (B.o.B. vs Zeds Dead)

Zeds Dead - Coffee Break

Wise Blood - Loud Mouths

The phrase "That Shit Cray" pretty much sums up my thoughts on Wise Blood's latest release, Loud Mouths. Wise Blood's sound is an eclectic mix of The Weeknd combined with the overall fell of a lead-singing devil-child. Needless to say, Loud Mouths is really unique. Wise Blood breaks down the somewhat depressing, yet realistic approach to Loud Mouths conception.
We buried kids sometimes, in a part of the cemetery we called BabyLand. Before I started [making music], I felt bad for myself because I got out of a long-term relationship, but then I realised that this dead kid was just nine years old. It helped me embrace life, even the terrible shit.”

Logic - All I Do (Official Video)

Logic's Young Sinatra is one of the better projects of 2011. There's a reason he was highlighted on TheJourney's 2011 XXL Freshmen Predictions list. Logic's camp took to Youtube a few minutes with All I Do, the latest batch of official visuals from the young terrapin reppin' Maryland.

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis - And We Danced (Live)

Here's some video footage of Macklemore & Ryan Lewis rockin' out to a sold-out venue at The Roseland Theater a couples week back in Portland, Oregon. Can't wait to see these dudes November 22nd in San Diego. In case you missed it, check out my video interview with Macklemore here.

Wale - Bait (Official Video)

Here's the official visuals off Bait, which Wale released a few days ago. Minutes ago, Wiz Khalifa took to the net with his rendition of Wale's latest single, Bait, aptly titled Dessert.

Wiz Khalifa - Dessert Freestyle

M83 – Midnight City (PatrickReza Remix)

After taking off on Lana Del Rey’s Blue Jeans, Los Angeles producer PatrickReza is back with a new remix of M83′s Midnight City. Midnight City is one of my favorite tracks out right now, and PatrickReza is slowly easing me further and further into a fan of the ever-wobbling genre known as dubstep.

M83 – Midnight City (PatrickReza Remix)

Nickelus F - Thighs

Anyone else loving this chorus? Thighs is songs  #7 off Nickelus F’s 7 Days series. Grab the whole series by following Nickelus F on Twitter. Look for his latest project, Faces, to drop on 11.08.2011.

Nickelus F - Thighs

Shwayze & Cisco Adler – Island In The Sun (Album Stream)

Shwazyze & Cisco's new project Island In The Sun is available on iTunes here. The guys were cool enough to hook us up with an album stream of their latest pop/hip-hop/acoustic project. You Could Be My Girl, Over and Over, Waste The Time Away and Keys To My Heart are a few of my favorite tracks off Island In The Sun. Off to school. Where was the Colts defense last night?

$1 trillion in student loan debt sparks furor

In the annals of history, our generation will be remembered as the generation of the educated poor. Serfdom's back. Nearly three years after the historic housing-market meltdown, obtaining a college education has quickly become the next historic American Dream laced-bubble to burst. For the first time, Americans owe more on their student loans than they do on their credit-card bills, with a tally that could soon top $1 trillion -- leaving millions of recently graduated kids with crushing debt burden at a time when decent-paying jobs are scarce. Also, consider IMF's recent finding that U.S. debt per capita will exceed GDP per capita this year for the first time in our nations history, and it becomes quite clear that something is very very wrong. In effect, the American education system has become a powerful tool that both the government and banks utilize to sell long-term loans. As the #OccupyWallStreet protests continue into November and December, I have a felling that student loan debts will become one of the galvanizing tenets behind the movement. Serfdom's back.

Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros - Home

Edward Sharp and The Magnetic Zero's Home is a classic indie/electro track. Party Supplies comes through with a killer remix. Enjoy both.

Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros - Home (Party Supplies Remix)

The Higher Concept - American Way (Official Video)

What do you get when you mix together a group of seemingly white-collar workers into a cramped office setting? A rap video, duh! American Way, The Higher Concept's latest release, gets some well deserved visual treatment. I'd call The Higher Concept by their nickname [See: accronym], but my mom might be reading. Actually... Who. Am. I. Kidding? She's got better things to do than read this blog. THC's American Way is really catchy. If you're diggin' their style, shoot the group a holler on Twitter and Facebook.

Th@ Kid - H I G H F R U C T O S E (Official Video)

So I'm running on the beach earlier this morning, swagged the f*ck out in my Rat Pack t-shirt that Th@ Kid hooked up, when I run up on a freshly-deceased lobster that had just washed up on shore. Although no longer alive, the lil dude was pretty cool looking. Ah, to live in San Diego. Th@ Kid just dropped off his latest set of visuals. High Fructose is off Th@ Kid's most recent album, Midnight: 12 AM. Make sure to check out every Th@ Kid feature on TheJourney here.

Johnny Spanish - Never Be Still (Prod. Ghost Beats)

Johnny Spanish, a friend of TheJourney and the man responsible for What It Do, one of the doper songs of late 2010/early 2011, is back with his latest crazy banger; Never Be Still. I love this track. Never Be Still has a partying and drinking feel to it, but at the same time, the lyrics reflect a man searching for answers while airing out his frustrations with the state of the world. Got tweets? Get at Johnny Spanish on Twitter. And considering Facebook may get p3wned on Nov. 5th by Anonymous, take the time to hit up Johnny Spanish on Facebook before it's toooooo late.

Johnny Spanish - Never Be Still (Prod. Ghost Beats)

Everlast - I Get By (Official Video)

It's been a minute since I've tuned in to Everlast's music. But, considering Swollen Members and Everlast's Put Me On was one of my favorite tracks of 2006, I'm glad I took the time to check out the visuals off Everlast's latest single, I Get By. For those unfamiliar, Everlast is a Grammy Award-winning Irish-American rapper and songwriter, best known for his hit What It's Like and as the front-man for rap group House of Pain. Also, In 2000, he won a Grammy for best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Latin rock musician Carlos Santana for Put Your Lights On. Anyone else bump Carlos Santana's 1999 album Supernatural back in the day?

Drake - Take Care (Album Trailer) [Video]

Now that Drake’s Sophomore album is officially complete and handed in, Def Jam goes viral an album trailer for the November release. An album trailer? Shiiiiiit, with 750 million Youtube views, Drake's highly anticipated album, Take Care, can afford to get this kind of treatment. Check out all of Drake's music here.

Lana Del Rey - Blue Jeans (PatrickReza Remix)

For his latest dubstep-influenced remix project,  PatrickReza takes on Lana Del Rey's hit single Blue Jeans. TheJourney briefly touched on Gadhafi's brutal reign over Libya, it's interesting to wake up this morning to emerging reports that Gadhafi's either been captured or killed.

Clay Hughes - Reno (Live Acoustic Version)

Reno is the last track that we'll be posting off Clay Hughes' 6-track Live Acoustic album, which will be presented in it's entirety tomorrow right on TheJourney. Clay Hughes is currently embarking on the third month of a five-month East Coast tour. Check out all his tour dates here. Dude makes incredibly dope and soulful music. Take a second and peep all our prior posts on Clay Hughes here

Carousel - Get Up (Official Video)

Carousel's Get Up is off their new 3-track EP, 26 Allston. Carousel, consists of 3 current Berklee College of Music students; Jackson Phillips (synth, vocals) Kevin Friedman's (guitar and vocal) Tyler Cratcha (synth, vocals). There's just something about the distinct indie/electro sound that Carousel produces. Berklee's College of Music [Karmin, Sid Sriram, Carousel], much like Bellingham, WA, is stocked with current talent just waiting to blow up. If you're diggin Get Up as much as I am, show some love to Carousel and say what up on Twitter and Facebook.

Carousel - Get Up

Marky & Theophilus London - CRISP (Official Video)

Marky's back. Inspired by the hit HBO show, "How to Make it in America" Season 2, Marky takes on one of my favorite tracks of 2011, Theophilus London's I Stand Alone. Check out Marky's prior track, Can We Chill, featuring Asher Roth, here.

50 Cent: One Like = One Meal

Continuing his quest to provide 1 billion meals to children in need, Curtis Jackson, aka 50 Cent, has decided that for the next 7 days, every “Like” on Facebook equals a meal for a hungry child. Hats off to Fiddy. An incredibly honorable act by the G-Unit General. Make sure you take a second and "Like" the Facebook page, good karma's coming your way.

M83 - Midnight City (Official Video)

M83's highly contagious Midnight City finally gets some well deserved visual treatments. In case you missed it, click here to check out PropaneLv's remix of M83's Midnight City, it's currently one of my favorite tracks and has been on steady repeat over the last few weeks.
Featuring a group of feral children using supernatural powers to escape their captors, the film takes us on a haunting journey, recalling classic films such Village Of The Damned and Close Encounters Of The Third Kind. It was directed by French duo Fleur & Manu who have just received three nominations at the UK Music Video Awards.

ProbCause - Blue Sky (Hypetrak Remix)

ProbCause flips Common's latest single into both a remix and an official video. ProbCause put out one of the dopest tracks of  the summer with 1517, check it out here in case ya missed it. Included below is both the official video and the .mp3 download option via Soundcloud.

ProbCause - Blue Sky (Hypetrak Remix)

Outasight – Get It Together (Mixtape)

Outasight is one of the more refreshing acts in hip-hop. Heralding from New York, Outasight combines hip-hop, alternative rock, pop and a little soulful R&B into his uniquely crafted music. Considering Outasight's signed to Warner Brothers Records, I'm kinda suprised to see this 17-song project being given away for free. Lucky us. Outasight makes dope music. Over the past few months, TheJourney's posted  Figure 8, Setting Sun and Tonight's The Night, all of Get It Together. Below you'll find Get It Together as well as a couple of my favorite tracks off Get It Together. Check out all our previous posts on Outasight here.

Clay Hughes - The Love I Gave You (Live Acoustic Version)

Clay Hughes recently performed a live set on Knoxivi.com. His entire 6 song performance from that set will be available on TheJourney in the coming days. The Love I Gave Ya (live acoustic version) is one such track that'll be featured on the 6 song performance album. I've heard a sneak peak of the project, and it's incredible. Clay Hughes has maaaad talent. Make sure you check out all our blog posts on the Kansas native here. If you're digging Clay Hughes' music as much as I do, hit him up and show some love on Twitter and Facebook.

Clay Hughes - The Love I Gave You (Live Acoustic Version)

PJ Simas - Cheer Up, Lost Ones, Lights Please [Live Acoustic] (J. Cole Covers)

Pretty dope. I'm confident that you're going to enjoy this. PJ Simas goes in on 3 of his favorite J. Cole tracks, “Cheer Up” (0:00) / “Lost Ones” (1:37) / “Lights Please” (2:56). PJ Simas' album Triple Threat is one of my favorite projects of 2011. Make sure you check it out here.

PJ Simas - J. Cole Acoustic Medley

New Linen - Higher

Higher is the latest release from New Linen. While purging my spam-box, I found New Linen's song submission stuck between two emails, one from some Nigerian Prince and another email which purported to save me 67% on Viagra. Damn you google email, the cruel games you play on me...  So on that note, sorry for the delay. Say what up to New Linen on Twitter and Facebook.

Chip Kelly "WILL YOU SHUT UP" (Video)

After overcoming ASU last night, despite injuries to Oregon's first string QB and first and second string RB's, Chip Kelly gets a little testy with a few rowdy crowd-goers during Erin Andrew's post-game interview. WILL YOU SHUT UP is currently trending on Twitter. Gotta love The Ducks!

Male NYPD Cop Punches Female Protester In The Face at #OccupyWallStreet, 10/14/11

@ 1:40. "Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable." - John F. Kennedy

ESPN College GameDay - Oregon v. ASU, 7:15 PM

With LaMichael James out, a bloodthirsty ASU linebacker core and an ASU quarterback that's only 4 inches shy of standing 7 feet tall, tonight's matchup at Autzen Stadium stands to be intriguing. Watch the game live tonight at 7:15 pm on ESPN. This will be ESPN College GameDay's sixth visit to the Eugene campus, and the 11th game overall featuring the Oregon Ducks. GO DUCKS.

Beirut Performs “East Harlem” on David Letterman (Video)

TheJourney highlighted Beirut's East Harlem some time ago. Check it out here. Last night, Beirut took to The Letterman Show to perform East Harlem live. On a side note, if you'r wondering why all these college football teams are trying their hand at new jerseys combos on this season, look no further than the team that revolutionized the apparel-side of college football; the Oregon Ducks.

Kanye West & Jay-Z - Ni**a's In Paris Remix Feat. T.I.

Fresh off his latest sting in the slammer, T.I. hops on N*gga's In Paris. Peep the lyrics for T.I's Deux negres à Paris at RapGenius.com. In other news, why the hell am I awake so early on a Saturday morning? Oh well, ESPN's live from Eugene, Oregon right now, so I guess I'll just have to tune in and get my game-face on nice and early this morning.

Rick Ross Suffers Second Seizure Today

Rick Ross' private jet made an emergency landing in Birmingham, Alabama, 2 hours ago, en route to his concert in Memphis, and TheJourney has learned that Rick Ross has suffered another seisure. It's the second time today where a plane in which the Rick Ross was a passenger made an emergency landing due to the rappers untimely seizures. No word yet on Rick Ross' current health. Hip-hop fans are pulling for you big guy.

Mac Miller - I Love Life, Thank You (Mixtape)

Mac Miller reached one million Twitter fans a few minutes ago and proceeded to reward his fan-base with a new mixtape, I Love Life, Thank You. A few of the tracks off I Love Life, Thank You have been featured on TheJourney in the past, but many of the tracks are new. Pretty dope way to kick off the weekend, eh? Check out all our posts on Mac Miller here

Robert Seitzinger, a buddy of mine since of the days of high-school, is back with his latest NBA discussion; Who will win the NBA battle: players or owners? Grab all of Rob's prior posts on TheJourney here. Dude knows his sh*t.

Th@ Kid - Midnight :12AM (Mixtape)

Th@ Kid, who seemlingly puts out a new project every-other week, is back with his latest mixtape, Midnight :12AM. First listen through and I'm really diggin' High Fructose and Old Fashion Flow. Check out all TheJourney's blog-posts on the Los Angeles lyricist known as Th@ Kid, here.

Wale - Focused Feat. Kid Cudi

I'm in class, but considering Mr. Folarin and Mr. Rager finally collab, I'm going to go out on a limb and say that Focused is dope. Are you diggin it?
With Miguel on "Lotus Flower Bomb" and Rick Ross joining in for "Tats On My Arm," Wale's Ambition doesn't disappoint when it comes to features. This one, though, might be the most anticipated of all. Wale and Kid Cudi went through a rough patch and for a while, it looked like we'd probably never hear them on the same track again. Thankfully, they've put any beef behind them, and the two have reunited for "Focused." Read what Cudi had to say about Wale and this song in our cover story.

b.FUNK - Freestyle Interview pt. 2

B.C. amd Mr. Brown of b.FUNK come through with part 2 of their candid freestyle/interview videos, which serve to hold us over until their latest mixtape drops. Check out part 1 here. A lot of artists pre-write verses and throw it over contemporary beats and call it a "freestyle." That's not really a "freestyle", in the traditional sense, at least. The above video however is an authentic freestyle. At 10:15 B.C. takes on Mr. Brown's cover of Jackson 5's I Want You Back. Pretty dope. Check out all our posts on b.FUNK here.

Timeflies - iTribute (Video)

For their latest installment of Timeflies Tuesdays, Timeflies pays tribute to the man that undoubtedly changed all our lives, Steve Jobs. Kudos to Timeflies for the creativity on iTribute. Sampling from what might be Steve Jobs most famous speech, the last 30 seconds of iTribute is really powerful. Check out all our posts on Timeflies here.
All of this was shot on an iPad 2 and edited using iMovie, recorded, mixed, and mastered on an iMac. The beat was made using samples from OSX and iOS – everything on a Tuesday.

Kounterfeit Change - Rolling In The Deep (Adele Cover)

Th@ Kid's brother shared this on TheJourney's Facebook wall, and it was just too dope not to highlight. There's been countless covers and remixes to Rolling In The Deep, and most of us have heard this song dozens upon dozens of times... and yet, somehow, Rolling In The Deep never gets old. It would have been siiiiick to have been able to see this performance live. Make sure you say what up to Kounterfeit Change on Twitter and Facebook.

Kelly Rowland - Lay It On Me Feat. Big Sean (Official Video)

Ya won't find this on the other mainstream music blogs yet. It's 6:51 AM. I grind. In other news, last night's Shady 2.0 BET Cypher was incredible. Too many bars to recount. That Casey Anthony line by Em was wholly unnecessary, yet, incredibly dope in both structure and execution.

Shady 2.0 (Eminem, Slaughterhouse & Yelawolf) – BET Cypher

RapGenius.com breaks down every bar from tonights most memorable Cypher, The BET Shady 2.0 Cypher. Each one of these dudes killed it.

Big K.R.I.T., Tech N9ne, MGK, Kendrick Lamar & B.o.B. - BET Cypher (Video)

For me, it went Tech N9ne > Machine Gun Kelly > Kendrick Lamar > B.o.B. > Big Krit. How 'bout you?

Jelani - Japanese Architecture

Jelani, a friend of TheJouney -- and the dude that recorded an entire album live in 24 hours via TheJourney -- is back with his latest track, Japanese Architecture. Check out our articles on Jelani here.
We got lucky and found this sample in the $1 bin at a pretty well known record store in Boston, “Looney Tunes”. Durkin flipped it that same day into a very nostalgic, gritty head-nodder.

Mountain Biker gets rammed by a Buck (Video)

The Buck mistakes this biker for a hunter. Poor dude makes some weird sounds post-collision.

Jupiter Project - Alive

Jupiter Project is a two-piece band from Auckland, New Zealand. Their alternative pop-hip-hop-electro influences range from N.E.R.D. to Thepohilus London and Phoenix. I sorta hear an upbeat Kid Cudi-ish type of style too. Needless to say, I was really stoked to see this sitting in my inbox the other day. Gavin, the frontman in Jupiter Project, is currently in his final semester of a Law & Economics conjoint degree at Auckland University in New Zealand. Law School SWAG! If you're diggin Alive as much as I am, say what up to Jupiter Project on Twitter and Facebook

DJ Drama - Lockdown Feat. Ya Boy & Akon (Official Video)

Whatever happened to Game's BlackWallStreet label? Ya Boy and Juice should have made a bigger splash in hip-hop. Oh well. Here's the visuals for Lockdown,  DJ Drama, Ya Boy and Akon's latest single.

Brenton Duvall – Phone Rings Goodbye

Brenton Duvall samples Mike Posner’s Save Your Goodbye and Jon Brion’s Phone Call on Phone Rings Goodbye. Enjoy.
I haven’t put anything out in a hella long time…it’s cuz I’ve got so many collabs in the bag and I don’t have power over release dates. While you’re waiting on all that fire…you can listen to a 7 minute stoney remix I made today. I hope you like it. Strongly encourage javelin tossin beforehand. and afterhand and middlehand.
